Rename the reddit award to something like this, so it's more straight that we hate them, like
>Reddit Community award for shittiest community
>Shit as Reddit award for shittiest community
>Reddit-Tier award for shittiest community
>Reddit Community award for shittiest community
>Shit as Reddit award for shittiest community
>Reddit-Tier award for shittiest community

I was going to make a thread for 2 new categories, but I saw this thread, so it's best to keep it in one place.
We are seriously lacking an award for "Most infuriating/depressing news" regarding games of 2011. The Activision Award only works for developers/publishers, or so the nominees in its thread suggest so.
Also, someone already pointed out, we seriously need a gurrl gamer award. The only problem is that I'm not sure we have enough nominees. Out of the top of my head I can think of MinecraftGirl and iJustine.
Also, adding this here: if you don't know, at /v/ we have the AVGD threads (Amateur Vidya game dev). Some anon just suggested in a /v/GA thread that we should do an award for "most interesting project" concerning them. I think there's a repository of every single project they have, but I don't have the link. I'm sure this has been suggested before, the anon is just reminding us.

We have a scrub award that would fit pretty well.76561198025004429 wrote:Also, someone already pointed out, we seriously need a gurrl gamer award. The only problem is that I'm not sure we have enough nominees. Out of the top of my head I can think of MinecraftGirl and iJustine.
If you (or somebody) finds the repo, I'll look into it.76561198025004429 wrote:Also, adding this here: if you don't know, at /v/ we have the AVGD threads (Amateur Vidya game dev). Even for news? It seems that the scrub award is directed at individuals, as the activision award is directed at companies.76561197993353253 wrote:

Sure thing. I actually thought I had it bookmarked. Gonna check with /v/ when any of their threads are up.76561197993353253 wrote: If you (or somebody) finds the repo, I'll look into it.
EDIT: Just found it.

They have some finished games, a big list of active and somewhat active projects.
