Yes. We plan on making something similar to the Spike VGA show (except less terrible, obviously). It will be edited together and then streamed "live". That is to say, we will make the entire video and then stream it for /v/, then later upload it to YouTube.

>What movies do you need?

Anything related to videogames in the year 2011. Perhaps you want to do a snarky criticism on gaming this year, or feel like making a video or a game you think is underrepresented in awards.

Here's a terrible example. It doesn't have to be anything like it, though.

>What's the criteria?
  • Your video must be 2 minutes or less.
  • Your video must be video game related.
  • Your video should be about 2011, but this is not a concrete rule.
  • Render your video in the highest resolution possible!
>Where do I send my videos?

If the video size is small enough to send through email, you can email [email protected] with your video attached. Otherwise, you may want to upload it to a filehost such as MegaUpload or upload it to YouTube as an unlisted video and then email us the link.

Feel free to post in this thread as well if you've made a video or plan on making a video.

i'd like to see videos for:
  • sw:tor - it wasn't really in time to nominated for blunder etc, but probably deserves it's own showcase aside from the bioware related categories
  • trackmania 2 - not really fitting in any of the categories, but probably worth a mention in 2011 - someone in steam was going to do this i believe
  • 2nd hand games/piracy/drm - don't really know what about specifically, but i'd like to hear someone who can summarise or talk about this concisely
  • ulillillia talking about disgaea
and just stuff on lesser known games and how they had some meaningful impact on /v/irgins - games that would never be touched on in other award cermonies

I'm not sure what you mean by announcement videos but we still have plenty of room for general videos. This thing is indeed still happening since far too much effort has gone into it to drop it now.

as far as i know there is room for more good general videos, but you'd have to mail them through to the email in clam's post above DOIT DOIT DOIT
