I think Human Revolution deserves this one. Skyrim should have an entry too, it was alright.

Clearly Sonic Generations is one of the most deserved of the nominations; the remixes drawed from Sonic's entire history and were done extremely well. Music has always been a high point of the Sonic series, and Generations is no exception. The only thing I can think of to hinder it from being nominated is the fact that like all the songs are remixes, but the music is just so fantastic that I don't think it matters.

Sanic Generations should not be allowed to be considered a nominee, as Reddbaron1 said, the soundtrack is all remixes, therefore, it has no OST and should not be eligible.

Having an ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK should be a requirement for best music.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Fully orchestrated, generally fits perfectly, and the main theme is great (not to mention a play on OoT's Zelda's Song).

Catherine had nice music when figuring out those damn puzzles. Really liked the remixed Classic music.

i think the category should be split into best sound or best music, as there can be completely different winners depending on which you're looking at

Fair point, but it's not like they just ripped the music out of old games. Despite being remixes, it's all new music.

This category was split into one for best sound (this one) and one for best soundtrack (see first post for link)

Since this is now "Best Sound Effects" I think Battlefield 3 should get a nomination, its sound effects are amazing.

Gonna nominate Dark Souls

Most of the game was ambiance punctuated by the rattles of armor, the clatter of battle, the sulking of creatures in the dark, or the distant ring of a blacksmith at his forge. The echo-y levels made the world feel hollow and for a game where the undead going hollow is a primary plot point it helped drive home the point of a dying world where the last few embers of life were fading away. Without the amazing sound direction it wouldn't be half as engrossing as it is.
